MBI Lab Equipment - GFP & RFP Gryb ® 2539 Imaging System
In the past two decades, we witnessed phenomenal advances in our ability to examine and visualize physiological events directly in living cells, tissues, animals, insects and plants. These remarkable advances are in good part the result of a growing repertory of fluorescent dyes and proteins almost covering the whole visible spectrum. These fluorescent labels contribute enormously in the fields of Oncology, Gene Therapies, Bacterial resistance to antibiotics and also in botany.
Many other fields are starting to take advantage of these new technologies. New emerging fluorescent labels were shown to have insignificant interference effects on the properties of the cells providing us with the possibility to develop exceptionally powerful tools to detect and monitor fluorescence in vivo. Montreal Biotech is proud to introduce a new powerful tool The GRYB® 2539 imaging system, designed to answer the growing needs of researchers to monitor and track cellular and genetic activities in-vivo using fluorescent proteins like GFP, YFP, RFP and BFP.
Applications
Detecting, tracking, and monitoring fluorescence in-vivo
Genomics, pharmaceutical screening, Cancer related R&D
Monitoring effects of drugs and gene therapies in small animals
Monitoring fluorescent screenable markers in plants
Technology
Excitation lighting is delivered by Triple high output devices delivering 450 watts into four 3D adjustable Optical Delivery Systems supported by 4 articulated arms. Light delivered at a specific wavelength can be concentrated using a diaphragm and/or regulated using a power regulator.
The system is mounted by a viewing filter and a CCD camera. An optional cabinet guarantying absolute darkness will help enhance the quality of acquired pictures.

Acquire, Analyze, Compare
MBI Analysis software was designed to help researchers perform quantitative assays in-vivo and in-vitro. This software provides you with all the necessary tools to acquire, quantify, compare relevant values between test animals and archive all your images. Extensive reports can be created using this powerful reporting module to help monitor any changes in test animals.
