Chromosome 8 Centromeric Probe Detection Kit - 100µL/10 Tests
The chromosome 8 centromere probe is used in conjunction with standard cytogenetic analysis for identifying and enumerating chromosome 8 via fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). The assay is appropriate for cells obtained from bone marrow and peripheral blood of patients with myeloid disorders : (Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML), Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), Myeloproliferative Disorder (MPD), Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), and other hematological disorders. The centromere probe may be used in a single assay or as part of a FISH panel.

The kit uses orange fluorescein-labeled CEP8 to bind CEP8 probe to the target detection site by in situ hybridization.
