Berthold - FB14 Luminometer

The new portable battery-powered FB14 luminometer was developed to satisfy the most demanding requirements with respect to performance, durability and ease of use. The FB14 is lightweight (1350g including battery!), ultrasensitive thanks to the new optimized sample chamber and a very low noise photon counter. The battery power last for one full working day of 8 hours without recharging.

Stand-Alone Operation

Built-In Software

The FB14 microprocessor embedded software allows complete sample documentation, including custom naming of sample sites and runs during field use. The FB14 is capable of storing up to 680 readings, which can be transferred to Microsoft Excel® for further processing and storage. The built in software includes a Cut-off Assay protocol for on-site data processing.

Zylux Capture Software

Supports the transfer of the entire set of field data to a PC for off-line evaluation and documentation.

FB12/Sirius PC Software

Designed for stationary use in the laboratory. In addition to the Quick Measurement function, it offers five additional protocol types: Single Assay, Dual Assay, Single Kinetics, Multiple Kinetics and Cut-off Assay. The operator can define new protocols of all five types. Highly flexible graphical presentation of kinetic data is supported.

Pocket PC Luminometer Software

Runs on a pocket PC connected by a serial cable to ensure trouble- free operation even in a difficult environment. Replicate and Cut-off protocols.

Applications

All luminescent "Glow" applications can be performed on this instrument. Due to low weight, robustness and indepence from mains supply, it is especially suited for on-site measurements. A list of possible applications includes:
