Overview
The MBI BeadBlaster 6 is a compact, high-energy microtube homogenizer designed for medium-throughput laboratories. It utilizes a three-dimensional shaking motion to disrupt samples, producing high-velocity impacts between the sample and micro-beads to release cellular contents including nucleic acids and proteins.
Many different sample types, from cells in culture to organ tissues and bone, can be homogenized in the BeadBlaster 6, most within 45 seconds. The unit simultaneously processes up to six samples in 2.0 mL tubes, with optional adapters available for two 5.0 mL tubes. Programming is simple—just set the speed, time, number of cycles, and pause between cycles, then press start. The last programmed parameters remain in memory for repeated runs.

Consumables Available: A full range of bead materials and sizes are available in both prefilled tubes and in bulk to meet all sample processing needs. Triple-Pure kits include acid-washed, heat-treated, zirconium beads tested to be free of nucleases, making them ideal for molecular biology applications.
