Homogenizer Mill Plus - Automated Processing of Up to 20 Samples
SKU: 845-00007-4
The Homogenizer Mill Plus (SpeedMill PLUS) is a highly efficient automated homogenization system engineered for the mechanical disruption of diverse starting materials prior to DNA, RNA, or protein isolation. Built on an innovative patented mechanical principle with Double Action Technology, it delivers complete and reproducible sample lysis while maintaining efficient cooling throughout the entire preparation process.
Key Highlights: Up to 20 samples simultaneously • 30 sec to 4 min homogenization time • Passive sample cooling down to –40°C • 20 storable protocols + pre-installed programs • Double Action Technology • Touch control with large display • No liquid nitrogen or dry ice required • Tool-free operation • Continuous operation capable • 2-year warranty • Made in Germany
Core Features
Efficient Passive Cooling
The novel sample holder enables storage down to –40°C, ensuring efficient cooling during the entire homogenization process. This prevents the substantial sample warming common with other homogenizers and eliminates the need for liquid nitrogen or dry ice.
Double Action Technology
Patented mechanical principle enables highly efficient energy entry for rapid, complete disruption of even the toughest starting materials including cartilage, insect chitin shells, and ticks.
Flexible Protocol Programming
Store up to 20 user-defined protocols with 1–6 protocol steps and 1–99 cycles per run. Homogenization time adjustable in 1-second increments from 1 sec to 4:59 min. Pre-installed protocols available for immediate use.
Tool-Free Operation
Simple loading and removal of sample tubes with exchangeable sample adapters. No tools required. Modern touch sensors and a large display provide intuitive, user-friendly control.
Sample Preparation System
Samples are rapidly homogenized in specially optimized Lysis Tubes containing application-specific beads. A broad portfolio of 2.0 mL and 0.5 mL Lysis Tubes with different bead compositions allows adaptation to soft and hard starting materials alike. The system enables complete and reproducible homogenization of even the most resistant matrices within a very short time.
Optimized Extraction Kits
Complete nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) isolation kits optimized specifically for the Mill Plus are available. These kits include special Lysis Tubes with application-specific beads, pre-made buffers, and all components required for isolation. The standard isolation protocol requires only about 20 to 30 minutes, delivering impressively high yields and outstanding nucleic acid quality.
