Why Choose Electrovault?
Every Electrovault unit can be custom made to your needs. Chemstore develops each solution around the risks, operational requirements and layout of your site, covering the batteries being stored, charging requirements, access, handling processes and the safety controls identified for the project. The aim is a practical storage solution that helps improve battery safety, reduce operational risk and minimise disruption where lithium-ion batteries are stored or charged.
Managing Thermal Runaway Risk
During thermal runaway, the high heat created by a failing cell can affect neighbouring cells, causing them to become thermally unstable. An irreversible thermal event can be initiated by an internal or external short circuit, overcharging, external heating, fire or mechanical abuse. Electrovault units are designed to support safer storage, charging and handling in line with relevant fire-safety guidance, with options including gas detection, fire suppression and segregated quarantine areas for damaged batteries.
Fully bespoke manufacturing: Electrovault units can be manufactured around site-specific dimensions, battery capacities, access requirements, handling processes and safety controls. Larger and fully bespoke installations are also available.
