CSF1R(5q32) Gene break Apart Probe Detection Kit - 100µL/10 Tests

CSF1R (Colony Stimulating Factor 1 Receptor) encoded by this gene is the receptor for colony stimulating factor 1, a cytokine which controls the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages. This receptor mediates most if not all of the biological effects of this cytokine. Ligand binding activates the receptor kinase through a process of oligomerization and transphosphorylation.

The encoded protein is a tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor and member of the CSF1/PDGF receptor family of tyrosine-protein kinases. Mutations in this gene have been associated with a predisposition to myeloid malignancy. The first intron of this gene contains a transcriptionally inactive ribosomal protein L7 processed pseudogene oriented in the opposite direction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Expression of a splice variant from an LTR promoter has been found in Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), HL cell lines and anaplastic large cell lymphoma. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017].

Intended use

The reagent carries out in situ hybridization staining on the basis of routine staining to provide doctors with auxiliary information for diagnosis. The test results are only for clinical reference and should not be used as the only basis for clinical diagnosis. Clinicians should comprehensively judge the test results in combination with the patient's condition, drug indications, treatment response and other laboratory test indicators.

Detection principle

Fluorescence in situ hybridization is a technique for directly observing specific nucleic acids in cells in vitro. According to the principle of base complementary pairing, the specific probe is complementary to the target sequence in the cell. Due to the fluorescence of the probe, the gene state of the hybrid probe and the target sequence can be clearly observed under the fluorescence microscope under the appropriate excitation light.

Applicable Instruments

Fluorescence microscopy imaging systems, including fluorescence microscopy and filter sets suitable for DAPI (367/452), Green (495/517), and Orange (547/565).
