The MBI VorTemp 56™ shaking incubator is designed for simultaneous heating and mixing of small-volume samples in microtubes and microplates. Featuring two interchangeable platforms — one for microtubes and one for microplates — both supplied with the unit, the VorTemp 56 delivers precise thermal control and reliable orbital agitation in a compact, benchtop format.

Temperature is adjustable over a broad range, making the unit suitable for bacterial cultures, enzyme reactions, nucleic acid denaturation, and other temperature-sensitive protocols. Mechanical convection ensures a uniform and stable thermal environment inside the chamber, while the insulated construction maintains temperature and reduces operating noise. The unit may also be used in a cold room for sub-ambient applications.
