The ADAM MC Plus sets a new standard in highly accurate automated fluorescence cell counting. Equipped with brightfield and two fluorescence channels (AO/DAPI), it utilizes sensitive fluorescence dye staining, LED optics, and CMOS detection technologies to deliver accurate and reliable cell analysis. The system measures total cells, viable cells, non-viable cells, cell viability percentage, cell size distribution, and cell aggregation ratio — all combined with a disposable microfluidic chip for extremely simple, easy, and cost-effective operation.

Dual Fluorescence Staining (AO / DAPI) Acridine Orange (AO) stains all nucleated cells (total cells), while DAPI selectively stains non-viable cells. This one-step mixed staining solution effectively excludes debris and red blood cells from complex samples, providing accurate cell counts and viability analysis even in contaminated backgrounds.
Large Measuring Volume — 13 Images per Channel Captures 13 images per channel with a large 3.2 µL measuring volume per channel. The moving stage acquires multiple images across the sample, providing superior repeatability and accuracy compared to conventional cell counters with smaller measurement volumes.
Cell Size & Aggregation Analysis Beyond standard counting and viability, the ADAM MC Plus analyzes cell size distribution and calculates the cell aggregation ratio. This additional data helps monitor cell health, culture conditions, and sample quality across experiments.
Minimal Sample Consumption Requires only 15 µL of sample per test. Four independent tests are available on a single disposable slide, maximizing efficiency while preserving precious cells for downstream applications.

One-Step AO/DAPI Fluorescent Staining

The ADAM MC Plus uses a single mixed solution of Acridine Orange (AO) and DAPI (4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole) to stain total and dead cells respectively. Because AO and DAPI stain nucleated cells only, the system effectively excludes interferences such as debris and red blood cells in samples with complex backgrounds — delivering accurate cell counts and viability analysis where brightfield methods fail.

Large Measuring Volume & Expanded Field of Views

The ADAM MC Plus measures a larger volume of sample and captures more image frames per channel than competing products. By detecting multiple images of the sample through precise moving stage operation, the integrated image analysis software processes 13 captured images per channel to provide superior repeatability and accuracy. Cell counting accuracy depends on counting volume — the ADAM MC Plus's expanded measurement capability ensures more statistically significant results.
